The 50 children who attend the preschool are from the township and surrounding districts and participate in an indoor-outdoor program facilitated by 2 early childhood teachers. We offer children a chance to participate in a program based on individual strengths, interests and backgrounds, building their sense of identity, wellbeing, community and fostering opportunities for learning and communication. We believe that all children learn best when:

• Children, families, educators and the wider community work together
• Acknowledged as unique and capable learners and are welcome at Avenel Preschool
• Participate in a play based, indoor- outdoor program allowing for periods of uninterrupted play
• In a nature-inspired, home-like environment

In 2015, we are offering 3 sessions of four year old kindergarten on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays during the school term. We are also offering 2 sessions of fun-group for three year old children on Mondays and Fridays in the school terms. Our sessions begin at 9 am and finish at 2 pm.
